would you say that more lives are at risk from people drinking and driving than they are from people who choose to own a gun?

lets ban drinking.......hell while were at it......lets just ban cars because of the number of accident related deaths every year

what else do you want to ban? </div></div>

That argument was compared to pot, which should be legalized. But cars are needed and alcohol is needed lol...I'd like for you to tell me how an uzi is needed?

    alcohol is needed?

    really?

but again........you said it put lives at risk by people owning a gun

im still waiting for you to tell me how

how is somebody who legally purchases a firearm putting lives at risk?

regardless of the type of weapon.......a law abiding citizen who legally owns it

how is them owning a gun putting lives at risk?

Didnt you catch the lol after it?

Hey genius, I havent been talking about any gun. The whole conversation has been about assault weapons, not a regular rifle. So again why shouldnt guns like uzi's and tec-9 not be banned?

Re: And why should the public have access to these again?

but one more time for those who cant seem to comprehend the language im speaking.......if a law abiding citizen buys an assault rifle.....and does so legally........how is that putting lives at risk?

    it isnt

if a street thug gets his hands on a 22 that could put lives at risk

so the point is its not about the caliber of the weapon.......its about who owns them

you either get it or as i suspect you wont

but either way im done with you because you are too stupid for me to continue this discussion with

when you get a clue.......get back to me

Re: And why should the public have access to these again?

For the most part, the uzi's arent being used by law abiding citizens. And I dont see a need for the public to have them - Assault weapon refers to a military weapon used to aid in military assault operations, that is, attacking a fortified position - And you cant tell me why the should, so you dont have much of an argument.

How many thugs do you see with a 22? The caliber of the weapon makes it a lot more dangerous. What part of high capacity magazines do you not get? Or firing more that one shot at a time? So again how does it not make a difference? One is clearly more dangerous.

When you want to answer as to why the public should have them, then get back to me.
